Neil
O’Reilly joined the firm in April 2009. He received his Masters of Law degree in
Taxation from New York University School of Law in 2007. He received his J.D.
from the New York University School of Law in 1993 and his B.S. in Finance from
Fordham University in 1990.
Neil’s practice focuses in the areas of estate controversy litigation and
Federal and multistate taxation issues. He represents individuals and
corporations in tax planning, audit, representation, appeals and litigation. He
also represents taxpayers in IRS compromises, audits and appeals.
Before joining the firm, Neil practiced with a firm in Roseland, New Jersey
and, prior to that, had his own firm for three years.
Neil also spent over six years with the Bronx County District Attorney’s
Office where he tried numerous felony criminal jury trials. His work at the
District Attorney’s Office led him to be the first Assistant District Attorney
chosen to form what is now the Gang Prosecution/Major Case Bureau.
Neil is admitted to the bar in New Jersey and New York and is admitted to
practice before the U.S. Tax Court, the New Jersey District Court and the
Southern District for the District of New York.
